A fresh, clean way to start your day. This Alkaline Green Smoothie is smooth, light, and full of natural goodness. It helps support digestion, reduce bloating, and give your body the clean energy it needs to feel good.

Made with fresh, simple ingredients and blended to perfection, it’s great when you want something quick, healthy, and refreshing.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients 

  • 1 handful of baby spinach: Rich in chlorophyll, iron, and antioxidants. Spinach helps cleanse the blood, oxygenate your body, and support digestion.

  • ½ ripe banana (preferably frozen): Naturally sweet and creamy, banana adds potassium and fiber while helping balance the “green” flavour. Freeze it for that perfect thick texture.

  • ½ small avocado: Full of healthy fats and vitamin E, avocado gives your smoothie a luxurious texture while keeping you full for hours. Bonus: it helps your body absorb all the fat-soluble vitamins from the greens.

  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger: Anti-inflammatory, soothing for the gut, and metabolism-boosting - ginger adds a gentle zing while supporting digestion and immunity.

  • ½ cucumber, peeled and chopped: Hydrating and cooling, cucumber is an alkaline superstar. It’s great for the skin, helps flush toxins, and gives this smoothie a light, spa-like feel.

  • Juice of ½ a lemon: Cleansing and alkalizing once metabolised, lemon juice brightens up the flavour and supports liver detox.

  • 200–250ml coconut water or alkaline-filtered water: Hydrating, full of electrolytes, and light in taste, this helps thin the smoothie and boost hydration levels. Go with coconut water for a slight natural sweetness.

 

 Step-by-Step Instructions

✅ Step 1: Prep your ingredients

Wash and chop the cucumber, slice the banana (freeze if you haven’t already), grate the ginger, and scoop your avocado.

✅ Step 2: Add ingredients to your blender

Start with your liquid (coconut water or filtered water), then layer in spinach, cucumber, banana, avocado, ginger, and lemon juice.

✅ Step 3: Blend until ultra smooth

Blend on high for 45–60 seconds until creamy and vibrant green. If it’s too thick, add more liquid a bit at a time.

✅ Step 4: Taste and balance

Need a touch more zing? Add more lemon. Want it creamier? Add more avocado. Like it sweeter? Blend in a Medjool date or a drizzle of raw honey (optional).
