Coarse Celtic Sea Salt crystals are slowly dried at a low temperature then stone milled to create the light fluffy consistency of this special Fine variety. It remains completely unwashed, unrefined and additive-free, keeping the salt rich in magnesium and trace elements.

  4. No matter what label is given to cheap salt it is merely a by-product that contains not much more than Sodium Chloride which has been massed produced to save money.

Where Should I store my SALT of the EARTH Sea Salt?
You can store it in it’s own resealable packaging or any air-tight container. Keep in the pantry out of direct sunlight or best refrigerated in a humid climate.

Why are Sea Salt crystals moist?
Hand Harvested Sea Salt comes from the evaporation of salt water. As this is an natural product no anti-caking agents (aluminium silicate) are added, therefore, Sea Salt will naturally attract moisture. Moist crystals are fine to use in cooking, however, remember to slightly dry your coarse crystals prior to filling your grinder.

Chloride

Small amounts of Chloride are essential for life; they pass through the digestive system unchanged and become part of wastewater. Chloride along with Sodium is found in the extracellular fluid and makes up approximately 0.15% of the bodies weight. Chloride works with Sodium and Potassium to help maintain the proper distribution and pH of all bodily fluids and encourages healthy nerve and muscle function. Independently, chloride contributes to digestion and waste elimination. It is a key component of hydrochloric acid, one of the gastric juices that digest foods. Deficiencies occur from excessive sweating, vomiting, or diarrhoea. Low levels of Chloride can result in alkalinity of the body fluids, dehydration and loss of potassium through wastewater.
