Enema Kit

This enemas kit is great for flushing out waste deposits that may have accumulated for years.

ENEMA INSTRUCTIONS

1. Choose a time. 

We recommend doing an enema first thing in the morning on an empty stomach (ideally after a bowel movement).  However, any time during the day or evening when you feel comfortable is fine. 

2. Fill the enema bag. 

Fill the bag with 1-2 litres using lukewarm (room temperature) filtered water.

Use the easy-to-hang hook to hang the bag no more than 3 feet above where you will be doing the enema. The flow control clamp helps to ensure a consistent gentle stream. Make sure there is no air in the tubing by allowing a little of the water to release into the sink, then clamp the tube to stop the flow.

3. Choose a comfortable position.

Lying Down (on side) - Lie on your left side with your left leg straight and your right leg bent forward toward the chest. 

Lying Down (on back) - Lie on your back with your legs apart and knees bent.

Squatting - Sit in a squatting position as if having a bowel movement. 

4. Insert tube.

Lubricate the tip with oil, such as olive or coconut oil. Take a few deep breaths to help relax the muscles. With steady pressure, gently insert enema tip into your anus with the tip pointing toward the navel (approx. 10 cm). Do not force it as it could cause injury. 

5. Let it flow.

Unclamp the tube to the flow you are comfortable with and gravity will allow the solution to flow. Lightly massage your abdomen in small circles on the lower left side of your abdomen to assist with the flow into your colon.

Once the bag is nearly empty, or your body has taken as much fluid as it allows, clamp the tube to stop the flow of water and gently remove the tip. Continue laying down until the urge to have a bowel movement is strong. Go to the toilet and let your body do its thing.

Continue with the enema until all the water has been used. As you become more comfortable and experienced, refill the bag 2-3 times for maximum efficiency. 

Be sure to clean your enema kit thoroughly after every use, including in between refills.
